Retailers stocked up on winter merchandise and ordered for spring at House-Hasson Hardware’s Dealer Market.
More than 1,600 retailers attended the market, which the regional distributor hosted earlier this month in Lexington, Kentucky.
The show was House-Hasson’s first in Lexington. The city was chosen as the market site because the distributor has “had exceptional growth in terms of sales and new dealers in states north of our Knoxville, Tennessee, headquarters, and because it’s closer to our second major distribution center in West Virginia,” according to company president Don Hasson.
New vendors introduced at the market included Midwest Pet, selling pet food; B&T Shavings, offering pine shavings; Easy Track, selling complete custom-made closet organization systems; Imperial Blades, offering rotary tool accessories; and Leviton, with electrical wiring supplies.
To commemorate House-Hasson’s first Lexington market, the distributor took more than 600 retailers to a day of horse racing at Keeneland Race Course’s Fall Race Meeting.
“Lexington is a great place to hold a market because there is so much to do,” Mike Woolf, company vice president of sales, says.
House-Hasson serves more than 2,000 dealers in 17 states and the Caribbean Basin.
