Product Picks From the Do it Best 2024 Fall Market

While covering the Do it Best 2024 Fall Market in Indianapolis over the weekend, I hit the floor looking for interesting products. As NHPA’s content coordinator and products editor, it’s my job to identify trends and find products that will help you differentiate your business. Below are my top five picks with insights about what made them stand out to me on the market floor.

TireJect Tire Sealant & Bead Sealer Kit

The Tire Sealant and Bead Sealer Kit from TireJect is one of the most innovative products I’ve seen at a market. To use, remove the valve core, install into the tire then reflate the tire. Once installed, if you get a puncture, TireJect will automatically fill the hole with its liquid rubber technology.

“I was blown away when I spoke with the team at TireJect. This product comes standard with every Rivian car off the manufacturing line. The retail price is also great at $32.99, which includes two packs of sealant and the injector. If your store has a small automotive category, or even if you are considering adding these kind of products, this one is a must.”

Rooted Promise Herbs Garden Kit

The Herbs Garden Kit comes with everything needed to grow herbs, and it’s made for beginners or experienced gardeners. The kit comes with plant markers, organic seeds and patented greenhouse domes, which help keep heat in and give holes for your herbs to grow through, making them easy to prune. The kit also comes with grow rings, which help keep water around the roots of plants, instead of dispersing around your garden. Rooted Promise also supports Down To Garden, a nonprofit that supports individuals with Down Syndrome and help them become proficient at gardening.

“This kit would make a great gift for the holiday season. As an avid-gardener myself, this kit is something I would go to my local independent store to buy. The founder, Robert Ghobrial and his family, started this company as a promise to his late-daughter Emma, who was born with Down Syndrome, ‘to provide people with Down Syndrome a place to explore, play, create and nurture their souls.'”

Bug-A-Salt 3.0

The Bug-A-Salt 3.0 is an improvement on previous versions, boasting a safety trigger and updated design and internals. The salt shooter is recommended for use on soft-bodied insects including common houseflies, mosquitoes and more. It comes with a one-year warranty and doesn’t require any batteries for use.

“I’ve seen this product on social media for years and have always wanted to try it out. Luckily, this company was in the Launch Zone and had a shooting range where anybody could try it out. Honestly, this product had more power than I expected. This would make a great Christmas gift for anybody with an indoor or outdoor bug problem.”

NRS Heavy Duty Strap

The NRS Heavy Duty Straps are UV-protected polypropylene tie-down straps that can support up to 1,500 pounds. The cam buckle features two stainless-steel springs to limit slipping. The straps come in two color options and come in a variety of lengths.

“These straps are perfect for anybody who needs to secure something in the back of their truck, boat or anything in-between. Talking with the team at NRS and learning how the design evolved over the years made me think about how I tie things down when I’m working. These straps have a heavy-duty feel and would be a great addition to your outdoor accessories category.”

RovR Products RollR 45 Wheeled Cooler

The RollR from RovR Products combines the utility of a chef’s kitchen with the ability to be taken almost anywhere. It has a rugged wheel construction and has a handle, multiple departments and a drain spout.

“In a competitive market, this rolling cooler is more than a way to keep food or drinks cold. The overall feel of this cooler makes me think I can drop it and throw it around without breaking it. The top is magnetic and has support straps, which supports the variety of accessories RovR offers.”
