The Value of Good Leadership

Leaders Critically Impact Employee Experiences

Employee teams and companies thrive under good leadership, but what qualities make a good leader? And what are the costs when a company doesn’t have strong leaders?

Good leadership can reduce employee turnover, strengthen work teams and help companies grow.

A positive, productive company culture is a result of the people in leadership, according to an article from the Harvard Business Review. Unhappy employees are also a reflection of an operation’s leaders.

More than half of employees quit jobs because of problems with management and even more workers say they don’t trust their bosses, the article says.

Fortunately, leadership skills can be nurtured and grown for the good of whole organizations. In fact, the article says good coaching can help people grow their competence as leaders by up to 30 percent.

Pursue opportunities to improve as a leader. Just learning how to better show empathy will go a long way toward improving your company culture.
