HIRI, The Farnsworth Group Announce Partnership

The Home Improvement Research Institute (HIRI) is continuing to deliver market research on the home improvement industry through a new partnership with market research firm The Farnsworth Group, according to a recent press release from The Farnsworth Group.

Through this new partnership, HIRI will enhance research study design and insights using The Farnsworth Group’s expertise and research specialists. Additionally, The Farnsworth Group’s experience with retailers, manufacturers, distributors and other channel partners in the home improvement industry will assist the research institute in producing quality studies moving forward.

HIRI is a member-based organization made up of retailers, manufacturers, wholesalers and allied organizations that provides effective and useful information about home improvement products and services in North America.

“The Farnsworth Group will help us to allocate the appropriate resources and expertise to deliver excellent content and support to our members,” says Terri Hulesch, president of HIRI and MTD Products Market Insights manager.

This new partnership launched at the beginning of 2017, but the two organizations have a history. The founding partners of The Farnsworth Group comprised the original management group of the research institute when it started in 1981.

“We have forty years of research experience in the hardware, home improvement and building supply space that we are excited about bringing to HIRI,” says Grant Farnsworth, director of business development and client services at The Farnsworth Group.
